Positioning is adjusting by itself

Hi
I have a problem that seems bizarre. I have a clip that the horizontal position is adjusting all by itself. I set a keyframe position, for the clip, and once it reaches that posiion it holds for a few frames and then starts sliding off to the right, by half the width or so of the frame. The it stops and immediately reverses. There are no other keyframes set.
Is there some setting that I have upset? I have never seen this behavious before. its weird. The only way I have to stop it, is to reach the exact point that it reverses and place another key frame with the original coordinates at that point. But the edges of the clip seem to be 'fighting' the second keyframe. Maybe I have a gremlin at work
Anyone know what I am talking about

Hi Doug,
Two things you can try:
1. Call a witch doctor.
2. Refresh your FCP X preferences (launch FCP X while holding ALT+CMD pressed)
I would start with the latter

Hahahaa Yup maybe I do need a witch doctor. I will try the preferences once I work out which is my alt key, I am suing an ergonimic windows keyboard.
I wonder if it has anything to do with updating to 10.1.2 because the program also takes an age to open. like a minute or two since I did the update. But I can't roll back because I let it update the libraries and they wont open in previous versions now. Bummer
Hmm. Thanks for the reply Ronny

Rule of thumb: ALWAYS refresh preferences after any update.
ALT key = Option key on a mac.

When this happens sometimes it is because an additional keyframe was created accidentally.
I find it useful to open the Video Animation (Control-v with the relevant clip selected) and look at the keyframes over the timeline.
