FCP X - Creating DVD Menus was created by krufruf
Hi all. I moved over to FCP-X a few months ago. Prior, I was a Pinnacle user (glad to say goodbye to Pinnacle!). My question: In Pinnacle, I was able to create video content with different menus so that when anyone insert the DVD into their dvd player, they would have the option to select whichever "scene" (or chapter) they would want to view. Is this possible within FCPro X?
Thank you in advance!

FCPX can make DVDs and BluRays... just without any custom menus. Both Apple and Adobe have nixed their disk authoring apps. If you can get a hold of either DVD Studio Pro from Apple somewhere, or if you have the Adobe Creative cloud you can find Adobe Encore. There is also good old iDVD, it might already be on your Mac.

If you create chapter markers, those will be used in chapter menus output by FCPX. A chapter marker also allows you to select which specific frame is used as the static thumbnail in the chapter menu. Limited, but functional.
