Can anyone perform custom created metadata search from smart collections?

Hi All,
As you might appreciate not all who use FCPX or other NLE's are media professionals, however, FCPX has opened doors for many other users or professionals who use the media in their practice.
In this respect, creating custom metadata fields in inspector window and to be able to perform searches through smart collections and by this to be able to organise the media an efficient way is big bonus!
Somehow, I come across Ben Balsar has already mentioned this lacking feature in FCPX 10.1 in one of the tread, but is it that feature still missing in 10.1.2?
Regards,

Yes, it is still missing, can't search for custom metadata fields. I'd also love to have access to them as a Browser list view column. Feedback page.

Many thanks Ben,
That'll be great to have to access to them as a Browser list view column. Do you think that comes under feature request?
BTW, another thing... I've got many images already keywords attached before I bring them to FCPX, say from a DAM location. Interestingly, FCPX picks them up during the import and display them in inspector window in its proper keyword fields. However, I cannot perform searches using search criteria of these keywords created in smart collection.
Whereas FCPX manages well all the smart collections created by using keyword criteria and it does it by default when keywords entered manually, i.e.. not the metadata already attached that come with the media during the import.
So, FCPX reads and display the metadata imported (keywords in this case) but it cannot use it for custom created searches in smart collection that does it by default. Any ideas?
