How can I achieve this effect? was created by PhreaKwenCi
I love this effect in the very beginning and :48 seconds into the video
it's like a vignetted blur, not sure if it's a specific plugin or if I can do it with what's in fcpx or create it in motion... Anyone got any suggestions?
Also, color correction wise, what suggestions do you have to kind of recreate that same color correction, I know a lot of it's playing around with color, but I'm learning on the fly for a class project since our editor got very sick and I'm trying to learn as quickly as possible. Thanks guys!

There are several ways to apply selective blur. An easy one is to use the Censor effect. Invert it, change from pixellate to blur and play with the amount.
For the colour correction try some of the presets. They won't be an exact match but they'll get you started.
Good luck.

I actually went and used the pixel film studios ProShake for this effect, so much better, and so easy to customize to what I wanted. You guys have been fantastic so far. I know I'm really really green, so I appreciate your patience!
