I've finally got the right punch sound effect however now it doesn't match the audio I have in the room we shot in. How do I got about making that match? I tried the match equalization, but that didn't seem to do anything. Any thoughts? Sorry, still a newb at editing!

EDIT:
NVM, think I figured it out, just trying to tweak the spaces audio settings in FCPX to match the spoken audio...

Ultimately it's a combination of EQ, volume, and reverb (echo). Listen to other things in the scene for what's happening to them, then try and break it down step by step.

Yeah, I think I need to know more audio engineers in order to get the right sound... my ears aren't tuned for it, I'm a visual guy... GAH.
