Hi Folks -
Thanks for useful forums! I am using FCPx and Motion 5 to make a short personal film, and I wonder:
is there a ready way to reduce footage to 16 colors or 4 colors? Specifically, I want to reduce my footage to match the color pallets from 1980s computing:
The 16 color EGA standard en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enhanced_Graphics_Adapter
and one of the 4 color CGA standards: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_Graphics_Adapter
I have done some basic color correction, but I'm not sure how to reduce all the colors to that small a range. Any suggestions?
Much obliged!
Justin

You can get very close using the Pixelate and Posterize filters in Motion 5. If you like it, you can make that effect for FCPX. Let us know if you need help.
