Hi!
I need to make selective sharpening within fcpx but I just can't wrap my head around it..
this is how it is done in after effect:
I was wondering if anyone could spread some light around the subject.
best regards

For something that complex, you'd have to go to Motion.

The other option is to go to DaVinci Resolve (Lite) and use the BLUR/MIST tool with qualifiers and power windows.

Actually, I think it is over complicating something much simpler, but, you can still put one copy over another, crop it out, and apply whatever sharpening you wanted.

Thx for the replies!
So far I've managed to do two clips onto of each other with an adjustment layer in between in unison with the luma-keyer . Even thou it is not the exact same thing it is kind of close. DaVinci is a good option actually
the only thing is that I'm having issues with taking my project from fcpx to davinci because I have multicam clips in the timeline and for some reason davinci likes only 50% of them.. But i could still import just that clip I guess
