Hi Everyone

Please if someone could possibly help with a short me skype into you Q/A session, I have a small number of really silly questions that too most people are minor, but really would help me understand FCP X so much better.

Sorry to be a pain, really if you can help, it would make such a huge difference....
Justine

Hi Justine,

Those little keyword indicators you have selected are all associated with specific ranges of the source clip. 'Takeoff' does not appear in the keyword editor because it is not assigned to that whole piece of time you have highlighted. But it does show on the Skimmer Info because 'takeoff' is associated with that small bit at the end.

Hopefully that explains it. But is this causing issues in the way you work?

It is hard to describe through typing, that is really best to ask verbally, I do not understand why when the keyword collection as highlighted with the 5D-7D, B-Roll, Pre-flight, shows the take off segment, where if I load/select the other two blue lock icons just above and below, they only show the range determined in that range, do I make sense??

Not sure what is going on, I am so confused..

I can see from the start and end timecodes that 'take off' is a smaller part of the other keywords.

It is the last 10 seconds of the bit you have selected.

I never really use this view though, once I've key worded, I'd look at those sections by selecting them in the library viewer when I need a specific thing.
