Can I export marker list to text?

Can I export marker list to text? was created by dinerdog
For 10.1.2. I've looked in the manual and searched a ton. Seems you could do it in FCP7, but I cannot figure out how in FCPX.
I'd like to use markers to make spotting notes for a composer and also SFX search. Do I need to export and XML file? Is there a utility to grab this out of an XML file? (if so - basic, general, extended etc....)
It seems simple and I hope I'm just missing something. Thanks in advance.

Andreas - THANK YOU! This works perfectly in 10.1.2. AND it copies and pastes into 3 perfect columns in Excel. You are a lifesaver. : >

So is the app appearing in your applications folder? And this is the message when you open it?
The link should put a "XTL Install.dmg" on your desktop. Double clicking will open the installer for you to drag it into your Applications folder. The first time you open it will ask you to go to the security pref and let XTL control your computer. After that, open FCPX then XTL and choose your markers and options.

Oh I'm very familiar with Andrea's apps. Odd I didn't see any security pref warning, just that alert on launch.
(p.s. I don't really need the app right now, just testing. No hurry)

Maybe something happened to the .dmg and it didn't download or install properly. That warning almost looks like it's missing a component. I'm pretty sure there's no way your computer would allow the app proper access without you changing it. So, delete and download the .dmg again I guess.
Maybe Apple will allow text exporting of all the marker info (request sent) later on, but this is so helpful now.

The message just says that it can't find FCP X at the expected default installation path /Applications/Final Cut Pro
- Andreas
Edit:
Forgot to mention why the app does this. From a a running app it is hard to figure out which version it is. It can be any of the FCP versions. With FCP X every version behaves different with UI scripts. So the app app has to figure out the default installation path to check the version.
Hope this helps for understanding.

My bad. Apparently I was doing some FCP7 testing and forgotten that I moved FCPX to a subfolder. However, interestingly now after moving FCPX and trying to export, it then launches FCP7. LOL.
No worries at all. I don't really need this at the moment.
