So after the site change here, I suspect we all notice the lack of avatars. Ugh, let's put them back! Maybe you can't find the one you used before. Maybe you want to select or create a new one. If neither applies then oh well, move on to the next post :P

Otherwise if you feel ready and inspired, attached here are the easy steps to making it happen. Go!

I choose the watch-in-the-eye so sorry folks, that one's now taken! ;)

Also, after the site reconstruction, the site won't remember me and I have to log in every time. Annoying!

Agreed! I find it much easier to quickly identify who is posting what with Avatars.
It would be nice if the site randomly assigned you one and it was up to the member to change it.

And while we're on annoyances, is it only me or can anyone read the Add File, Submit, Preview, Cancel buttons?

Worst colour matching ever.

Just let me jump in here, things are being fixed, but it takes time.

You would be surprised how simple things take time to sort out.

This will be my favorite quote next time someone says: "Apple please fix this, how hard can it be?" :P

My favorite was when one of my frustrated editors turned around and held up his mouse.

"It's a mouse. Not a wand!" he said to the client. I nearly spat my coffee across the room.

Put it this way -

The old avatars are in the correct place that they should be, yet some are not showing up.
Why this happens, we do not know and it may be the case that he avatars are slowly coming back over time.

Our best man for the job is on the case, along with about 4 other issues we still have.

It hasn't been easy!

I certainly didn't intend this post to be taking a swipe at fcp.co. Good heavens, this resource is amazing!
I, perhaps naively, figured the side was "done" and that a fallout was we need to re avatar.

Peter, thank you for this resource and the work you and the team put into it. Post hack, conversion, etc. I'm sure there's plenty to deal with having almost nothing to do with video editing and production

The best news is that we think the avatars are back. Well mine is and I didn't do anything :)

But I lost my watch-in-the-eye avatar!

Need to redo it I think!

Uh, now the entire profile thing was different and no more avatar pics to choose from. Must upload one. Oh, well, I'll get to it!

In case you are using a generic avatar here on the forums. Please, oh please update it. I keep seeing that same guy with orange hair and I'm thinking it is the same person and it is not.

I used a generic (eye-in-the-watch) briefly. But it disappeared. Then I could find a way to choose one anymore. Is there pics to choose from now?

Anyway, now it's actually me on my avatar :)
