saving only the changes to projects and events?

Is there a way to copy only the changes you’ve made to projects (eg added/removed events) and events (eg added/removed clips)? I know how to back up/duplicate events, projects and libraries but that’s too much to do on a daily basis with long projects and large events. I’m hopeless (ok, lazy) at backing up small changes, leave it too long then end up with a mess to sort out. I’ve searched here and Google for methods to copy only the changes I've made but can’t find anything I can understand.

Any help much appreciated.

When you're working on a Library, it backs up every 15 minutes, you have access to those. But no, there is no Timeline only, or Event only backup. What specifically is the goal?

Ben, thanks for the reply.

Ok, here's a typical scenario. I'm doing a few edits to the timeline, maybe removing some clips from an event, maybe adding a clip or two to another event, nothing unusual and maybe not huge changes, but obviously I want to back them up. Up to now I've been waiting till I've made enough changes to make a back up of the the project and events worth the effort. Which is sort of tempting fate...

My way of backing up is to store the whole library (project file and events) on a second external drive (originals also on an external). So for me to back up the changed library I delete the back up library and then copy the changed library to the spare external drive. Hope that makes sense.

I'd be surprised if the's not a better work flow than this.
