Screenflow is great for "tutorial-style" videos (like FCP training for instance). If you actually have some motion-based screen elements that you want to capture as a video element (Google Earth, for instance) then Screenflick does a better job.

You could also take a look at Claquette. It is an OS X app that records in a lossless format and directly exports to FCP X (ProRes, separate layers for the front window, cursor and screen).
Full Disclosure: I am the author of aforementioned app.
I hope I didn't break any forum rules by name dropping my own product here. (I purposely didn't link to the product page)

QuickTime X Player captures screen movies, too, and it's free, and already on your Mac.
Point is, whatever you use, it should export a ProRes file.
Also, if you're doing app specific captures, resize the app's window to match 1280x720, so you can work in a standard frame size in FCPX.
BTW, when doing my work for macProVideo.com, I never edit in FCPX, always inside of ScreenFlow. It is far superior than anything else for that type of work. I do my VO work in FCPX, but the editing is done in ScreenFlow. I have full control over size and opacity of the mouse cursor, independent of the other screen elements, excellent video and audio filters, callouts are super easy and powerful to use, resizes the screen without the loss in image quality other apps will give you, all around great app that can't be matched.
