Grouping Events

Grouping Events was created by eco_bach
One shortcoming, at least for me, in FCPX10.1 is the inability to group Events. Or of there is a way, I don't know how. For instance, in a current project I have a new Event for each day's shoot. I want to be able to create and choose, just ONE Smart or keyword collection and see ALL the clips that are a match and not have to click into each and every Event first.
Can someone suggest a better way to accomplish this?

Then they need to all be in the same Event, and keyword or smart collection to group them into each Day.
An alternative you could do keywords in each Event, or notes, or Reel numbers, any metadata, in each Event. And then select the Library, and do a search from there. I could use the keyword collection "Night Shots" in each of 5 Events. If I select the Library, and type in Night Shots in the search field, I'll see them all at one time.
But going between Events like that, I'd stay away from keywords, and use metadata such as reel, scene, ,etc.
Another approach would be to keep all your media External, then create Events per day, AND per how you want to see them. That would duplicate clips in different Events, but since their External Media, they're would only be one physical copy on your hard drive.
