Match Frame only plays selection

When in the TL and I want to match frame (Shift-F) back to the source clip to see what might have come after what I used, only the limits of the selection will play. What is this? And how to force play after the out point? Opt-X removes the limits, but throws the playhead back to the head of the clip. Picking up the mouse, selecting the clip at the playhead and hitting X will do it, but I don't want to have to pick up the mouse…
TIA

It's a bug. Ig you use the arrow key to step past the end of the select it will play again.

Maybe 10.1.2 will do it. Hoping. But meanwhile, thanks Tom for arrow (after shift-O, I assume)

Just tested. Shift-F in timeline to match back to original clip/range. Hit spacebar to play back. Play through range, and onward through the rest of the clip.

How are you getting it to stop at the end of the range? Are you hitting the question mark key? That is the "play selection" command. It will only play what is selected, obviously.

But if you hit the space bar, that just plays through ignoring any selections or ranges.

This was a problem in 10.1.1 and I think earlier. It's been corrected in 10.1.2.
