Slide transition bug

I have encountered the following recreatable bug when using the slide transition, specifically when it is set to slide push.
Step 1 - Make sure the outgoing clip is bigger than 100% in the inspector.
Step 2 - Watch the transition. Outgoing clip does not push all the way off the screen before abruptly disappearing.
Step 3 - Clients fire everyone who works with FCPX. All FCPX users go broke forever because of a push slide transition.
Anyway I've reported it to Apple as always. Just wondering if anyone might have any good workarounds.

Does it happen if you turn the clip you resized into a compound clip? Possible workaround anyway.

Great find. I can reproduce that on my end. The slide transition is FXPlug, not a Motion Template, so I can see how that can be problematic. So have you tried making a slide effect in Motion?

I wouldn't know how to go about making the same effect in motion (with the ramp up and down, motion blur, etc).
I did try compounding the resized clips and had a devil of a time getting enough heads and tails for the clip to properly do the transition. But anyway no, it still had the same effect which I found very odd since the transition should see the compound clip at 100%.

Do you see the problem when you step through the transition frame by frame? Do you see the problem if you render the transition?
