CoreMelt V2.5 for FCPX was created by simonpwood
CoreMelt has released V2 2.5 for FCPX.
Some plug ins only available through Motion 5.
Some of the plug ins are free, including VeeYou, which looks like quite a cool audio waveform generator.
Anyone tried these out?

I am a huge fan of CoreMelt. I have updated and have used them on one project. Totally worth the purchase. Lots of transitions and some great filters. I really like the sky replace plugin.

Hello All,
I have been a CoreMelt plugin users for a while and I've always found the plugins very useful. I just purchased the 2.5 version and used it in two projects. I'm using FCPX on an iMac with 8 GB of RAM. So far I'm finding that some plugins require heavy rendering. What I mean is that, some plugins are CPU intensive to the point that a low end MAC would be bogged down to a crawl.
Remember that some plugins are not usable directly in FCPX, but only in Motion 5. This is simply because Apple hasn't allowed 3rd party apps to publish some controls to FCPX. This point may slow down some workflows.

Yes, some are massive system resource hogs. But between CoreMelt Complete V2.5 and CHV Quartz Intigrator, I don't see the point in "purchasing" any other plugins.

I think this might have been asked somewhere else, but here goes: does anyone know of any good (video) noise reduction software (like Neat Video) that works with FCPX?
Also I was going to ask about any good 'hot pixel' removal software, but just saw that Digital Heaven have released one...

Hi Simon,
CHV has a very good noise reduction plugin. Powerful, yet it only needs 4 controls to achieve a very decent result.
Neat video is working on porting their plugins to FCPX, so is Red Giant. Both their noise reduction filters are very good.
As to pixel removal: the DH plugin is excellent. I have successfully used it in legacy FCP to remove dead pixels in footage shot on a faulty Digibeta camera.
