Evenly Set Duration of multiple clips was created by cb2014
Hey everyone!
I have 4 clips together with no transitions or behaviors or effects and I need to select all 4 and evenly distribute their duration
without throwing off the total 4 clip duration since my audio is sync'd??
i.e. total time is 10 secs....synced to other audio clips on the timeline
clip 1 is 2 sec...
clip 2 is 3 sec..
clip 3 is 6 sec and
clip 4 is 4 secs.....
how can I select all 4 and set them at equal time that totals 10 sec?
Thanks for any help!

Let's see, 10/4=2.5
So, will depend on your frame rate, since there is a fraction. I'll just pretend we're working with a 30fps project timeline. One second is 30 frames. A half second is 15 frames. So each needs to be 2 seconds, 15 frames.
Select all clips at once (cmd-click each). Then use Control-D to bring up the durations in the Dashboard (center of the tool bar, where timecode is shown). It will be blank due to each clip being different. Simply type in 2.15 for 2 second, dot, 15 frames. Hit enter. Done.
