Deleting Optimized Media

I have a question about archiving a project that was optimized at the start. If I delete that footage and keep the original footage will all I need to do if I need to go back and change something down the road is re-render/optimize?
I just want to be clear before I mess something up for the sake of save space/money of HD's.

That's right. Simply dump the optimized media, and re-transcode the original media when and if you need to.

FinalCutLibraryManager is a good tool to make that easier if you don't like digging in the library bundles.
It will also delete render files, and analysis files which can get pretty huge, this latest version has a lot of great new features.

I actually did a little after I posted this, makes things very easy and give all the potential space you can save with each action. Great program!
