I got it, too. Just reported it to Peter in an email with screen shots. The site claims to be FCP.co offline for maintenance, and asks for login information.

Yes, me too - 3 times.

We all ought to change our passwords I suppose but, try as I might, I can't work out how to do it!

Ian.

Ian I would be more inclined to change email addresses because the FCP.co data base has obviously been hacked and all our email addresses are know. Not fully sure what the deal is behind the scenes on their data base but I would assume the passwords would be concealed? But saying that how has our emails be compromised?

Probably a complete coincidence but, I saw this mail on my Iphone, later deleted both on my IMac, then an hour later tried to send a mail and attachment tom the IMac - Mail app froze, and had to be forced to quit a number of times, plus a restart.

Makes you think....

I started receiving these mails (4) right after I downloaded some free templates from FxFactory application and registered them using the same email address where I received Dave message, which is not the one I use for fcp.co. A coincidence? Hope this may help to clarify the mystery.

I only got one (boy do I feel unloved now!) but I deleted it as a matter of course since I never click on links from emails.

Stay calm and continue editing...

Just let me chip in here with what happened.

We have been rebuilding the site on another URL as we had to upgrade a lot of the CMS since we got hacked.
Updating the core Joomla CMS is easy, but we have about 25 extra extensions/modules running on top of that, indeed the Forum you are reading is one of them.

Whilst testing the site, my web programmer accidentally sent out the emails, so we are very sorry, but slip ups happen, especially when trying to knit various pieces of code together.

So, nothing suspicious, just a mistake from us, no need to change passwords.

On the bright side, it looks like we haven't been hacked again since the two times a few weeks ago, which is good news all round. Unfortunately there are people out there who gain pleasure from trying to break things and that causes pain for the other 99.9 percent of users. Not to mention us here on the other side who have spent a lot of time and money getting back online and then protecting for the future.

One more thing, we will be copying the new site over in the next couple of days, so if we go offline, don't panic! Hopefully you won't get any more emails either!

There should be more functionality in the new site too.
