Dear friends,
Could a kindly soul maybe tell me what an orange color clip in the fcpx timeline signifies? (screenshot)
fcpx does not play them, one cannot relink, has no info on them at all. They appear after a 7toX translate).
Any chance of them being relinked?
Many thanks!

That's the color used by generators. Not sure what they would be, but not missing clips. They might be Motion projects that were round tripped.

hello tom,
I did go from Xto7 and back to X (using the 7toX software), but it's odd that most files came back to X without any problem, but not these few files...
Considering fcpx sees the name of the clip, the length of it, everything except actually SEEING it ...could there be any way to re-link them without having to do everything again manually do you think?

7toX should give you a report. Usually when it finds a problem translating the sequence, 7toX creates an empty slug, shown in orange in your FCP X timeline. It can´t be relinked because is a slug not an unreferenced clip.
There is some problem in your FCP 7 timeline, and that can´t be translated to X. I´m pretty sure this could be the problem.
