Out of Disk Space

So, I'm editing 4k footage on a 2TB drive. During each of the imports I selected to generate proxy media and to keep files in place, which is why I suspect I'm now running low on disk space (among other reasons?)

Rather than "clear some disk space" as FCPX suggests, does anyone have a recommendation for how to move files over to another drive without loosing important data that has already been generated in the library? I've already spend a few days just importing and assigning keywords/favorites... I would rather not have to trash this!

The library can me simply dragged to another drive in the Finder.
You may choose to keep the media where it is, or move it also.
If necessary, relink the files in FCP X.

Thank you. So you would drag the library onto another disk (copy), then delete from the original disk, and then reopen the library in FCPX and relink the files?

Yes, that would be it.
It is possible that relinking may not even be necessary.

well, that didn't work so well. I got an error in the middle of the copy saying not all files could be found, then when i reopened FCPX I'm "missing camera" for about half of the media. relinking the files doesn't seem to work...
