I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO CALL THIS!!!! was created by mojo shenanigans
I have imported clips into FCP. Then I began editing. I just realized that the color is off and I need to color-correct again. But I have put ample time into the project that I am working on and don't want to have to re-edit it all. Is there anyway to import my new, color-corrected footage with the edited clips/sequence and not have to re-edit the whole project. And... does that make sense? Thanks

How are you importing clips you already color corrected? Where did you do the color correction? In another app? We're going to need a lot more details about what came from where and how it was handled and stuff.

Okay, I saw a posting on another site - SCUBA DIVER LIFE of all places - that showed how easy it was to use lightroom. I shot some underwater vids. Some with a gopro and some with a canon so the footage was "different" to say the least. Anyway, as a side note, Lightroom was sooo easy. I don't know how to color correct on FCP yet, but I may not need to.
As for my problem, I figured it out in a rather odd way and I'm sure there is an easier way. But, I made a mistake and I didn't plug in my external, where my vids were saved, when I started up FCP and so I got the red "missing" footage warning. All I did from there was "relink files" and it replaced all the clips in my events and in the timeline with the corrected footage. Who would a thunk?
Do you know of an easier way? Any advice on color correction? Thanks!

Replacing existing clips in the browser with corrected ones is best done by relinking. This will also replace every instance of the original clips used in a Project with the same instances of the corrected clips. That's why the corrected clips absolutely need to have the exact start and end tc as the original ones. I din't think there could be a faster way, and as you have noticed: it works without any issues.
As to color correction in FCP X: It's quite powerful and fast once you know how to work with it. These are 15 videos everyone should watch before tackling with color correction in general, and in FCP X:

The tutorials are two years old but everything is still accurate. Since that day many third-party color correction tools for FCP X have been released. But the grading principles always remain the same.
