Clips and attached/connected audio

Recently cut an edit and used mainly the Video Only option when attaching clips to the Storyline. Now the client wants a track with all the audio that is connected to the clips. After connecting the clips, without audio, you can't select the audio of the individual clips because its not there so is the only (quick way) to connect all the audio again to replace all the clips individually. Is there a quicker way?

You'll have to do it one by one as far as I know.
First make sure that you have video and audio turned on, the keyboard shortcut for this is Shift+1. Then select a clip, press Shift+F (reveal in browser), press D (overwrite).

My main concern was all the clips were colour corrected so didn't want to be doing what you have suggested (because I thought that was the only way really) and then having to copy and paste attributes which would of taken twice as long. So I just duplicate the Project and then used Overwrite and not bothered with the Colour and just exported the audio.
Would be handy in the future to be able to just reattach the audio even if you have editing just the clip without audio

Hi Marc,

It would indeed be handy if we could replace clips while preserving the original clip's attributes. This would also solve your problem. You can use the feedback form to submit a feature request.

Marc, what you could do then is to press Shift+3 first so you are adding audio only and do the same process pressing Q to connect instead of D to overwrite.
Just make sure that your playhead is at the beginning of each clip before you add the audio in so that it lines up right.

The only issue there is that the audio won't be attached to the video, but it will be where you need it.

Yeah, Shift-F to locate the original range in the Browser, edit in only audio as connected clip.
