Is that possible to export Metadata view ?

Hello,

we are working on different projects, different rooms as our postproduction company manage different shows and episodes on each show.

Depending of the need we can't keep episode on the same computer.
We work on external hard drives with the last version on FinalCutPro X, everything is up to date.

We are trying to build a new workflow for a specific show on FCPX, we'd like to get a custom metadata view saved on a server for example with the possibility to import it into a new computer so we get our metadata infos to work with.

Even though the custom metadata moves with the events from computer to computer, the actual view does NOT. We have to add the fields back manually to be able to access the data.

We'd like to know if anyone knows where metadata view settings are stored or how to export them or any kind of tricks that can help us to set several final cuts so they show the same exact metadata view.

Never thought about it. That would be a neat feature. To exchange those custom layout files just like we do for keyboard shortcuts. I'm gonna have to dig around and see if I can find where they're stored. Unless they're stored in the Event/Library database.
