SUDDENLY I CANT SEE THE CLIPS IN THE PROJECT WINDOW!!! HELP!

At the timeline all the clips are visible. All the clips media are in their event folder. But suddenly they dont show up at the project window. I can't see the movie. It is black. the subtitles remained. some clips are still visible. But %90 of the clips doesnt show up, although they appear in the timeline.
It is a project that I am working for a long time but now I feel completely lost. There was a duplication of the project but also the same problem happened to the duplicated project. What it could be? I restart the computer several times. Can one important file be missing? What should I do? Please help.

Please post screen shots of what you're seeing in the timeline and the browser. Are you using proxy media?

If you do not know what Proxy media is, then you better start learn about FCP X. Ripple training is a good start.

Actually the Media visible in the timeline, but missing from the viewer.
But the audio of the clip that is not visible at the viewer is there. Clips are there.
Can this happen because of the full start up disk?

How big a disk? How full? I'm not clear on something: do you not see the video in the timeline, or dies the timeline not play back in the viewer, or both? Try inserting those screen shots into the reply message window.

but their audio is there.
The video plays in the viewer, with audio, with subtitles but black. Clips are not visible.
The start up disk has just completely full (1.5 TB)

Reboot the computer. Clear off at least 50G of free space. More would be better.

You will have to clear more than 100 GB from your startup disk, and you will have to do this right away. Continuing to work with a full startup drive is a recipe for disaster. If you don't do this first thing you are liable to lose your data, and I'm not exaggerating.

Thank you very much. I will do that. I would like to ask you something. There is one FCPX project that is 600GB. If I copy the FCPXproject to a external hard drive, than when necessary can I use the project from the storage disk, or should I upload it again to the Hard disk?
Because if I can erease that yet unfinished project, I can get a lot of space.

No. But before you move anything, what version of the software are you using? You can't just move things around in the Finder depending on your exact version.

External drive is USB 2, UBS 3, FW800, or Thunderbolt?

Regarding screenshots... the forum software imposes a file size and/or type limit. I don't know what the limit is, but it will be exceeded by the typical screenshot. Take your screenshot then open it in preview, reduce its size by at least half and save it as a jpeg. Then you'll have a better chance of having it displayed by the forum software.
