Problem with "sharing" a project to any type of file. was created by cinaski33
Hi all.
FCPX 10.1.1
Retina MBP 2,4 + 4gb ram + ext. thunderbolt hd for events and projects.
Mavericks 10.9.1
I've just finished my last project, just updated the sw to 10.1.1.
so the project has been created using the last version.
I do sharing, and while transcoding (this is what I see in tha background task) it stops after 25/40min with the message "error -50".
I tried using Compressor 4.1.1
I deleted the preferences files.
I took off "renedering"
I disabled App Snap from the App.
I've copied all the project content into a new project (same event)
I changed external drive where the FCP library is placed
I've tried also to export the FCPXLM project file and import into Imovie but I get an error DTB in Imovie and I can't see the project neither.
Anyone has an Idea?
I'm not an expert about video editing, and I study on Internet on how to use it, but this is not the first clip i do with the FCPX.
I had this problem with older sw versions, but I did fix it with the app snap unmark.
Now it doesn't work anymore...

Do a Permission Repair, have Disk Utility check the integrity of your drive. There might be some bad sectors.
Copy all files on your drive to another one and reformat the drive.
Sometimes it helps to just turn on "put drive to sleep" in the Power Settings.

I've had this problem today. Turns out it was Neat Video not liking an adjustment layer on top.
Once removed everything worked ok.

Guys I solved it.
After all the tests I was stuck with the same problem.
So I started to divide and export 5 minutes pieces of the movie (1h55min). exporting the minutes 30 to 35 the export failed. a photogram was just bad, I don't know how but I think my 2nd Canon G30 did it wrong and the second image over the main one just created a 0,2secs black screen that I didn't noticed before
Anyway thank you to all guys. Your suggestions helped me to check things around.
Here's 1am, time to sleep.
bye

Dead in the water all day. Apple support said uninstall/reinstall. Still no joy. The edit is fine, normal size to what we usually output to "share" then Dropbox it to base. All the share options are greyed-out. Working with orig files from Sony EX3 and using the plug-in that was recommended here. That worked well on the project prior.
Wits end.

Are you able to share any project at all?
Take a look at this article and see if it helps:
