Motion Emitters in FCPX

Motion Emitters in FCPX was created by merc
So I experimented with publishing an Emitter from Motion as a FCPX generator, including publishing all the parameters
Expectedly, there were no onscreen controls when using the emitter in FCPX - but the parameters (like Gravity) did respond as expected when keyframing.
It does seem to suggest though that a more robust implementation could be feasible, especially after seeing what Coremelt has been able to accomplish with onscreen controls.
Are there any best practices for using native Motion Emitters as Generators in the current version of FCPX?
