Hoping I can get some insider info here.
I have upgraded to 10.1.1
I have been given files to import, but they were created using the pre-updated version.
It doesn't seem to want to work.

Does anyone have any advice?

Media files, or Events and Projects? If they are Events and Project, they MUST be in the proper Final Cut Events and Final Cut Projects folders, with the proper hierarchy.

I have been given events and projects created on 10.0.9, to import into 10.1.1

The projects and events need up be in the correct folders used by 10.0.9. Once that is set you do not import projects and events. You use the update function in 10.1.x to update then to the new libraries.
