Problem with text generators crashing FCPX 10.1.1 was created by shorelinedigital

Hi,

Pretty new to the program, but getting my bearings with it. Library is external drive. Trying to apply text but crashes program as soon as I scrub the thumbnail or lift it to the timeline.

I have trashed prefs, checked for bad fonts, had an issue with lock & load and deleted it form system. Not sure what to look at next, Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

Try to create a new user.
Maybe it is a permission issue.

Thanks. Found the issue. It was a bad font. I had so many installed and even though Font Book said they were all fine I still had the issue. Went back to basic font configuration (all were put in a separate folder and not activated). That did the trick! Hope this helps someone else with issues.
