I want to switch the audio that's on the magnetic timeline with the video thats connected, what is the quickest way to do this?

Right click on the audio and select Lift From Storyline then right click the video and select Overwrite to Primary Storyline.
You should be able to select multiple clips and do this as long as they are all either on or not on the Primary Storyline (magnetic timeline as you put it).
