I'm setting up a second machine for parity, and I want to make sure it's running the same version of the RED Workflow that I have on my current system. Where could I find this out?

You could just download the latest version on both machines and run the installer. Then you'd know they both have the same, latest, version.

I was concerned because I'd been reading posts on REDUSER.net that there were some issues with the current 4.0 version. But it seems it's a problem with exporting RedCineX XMLs to FCPX- so I think things should be ok.

I have found it! On your system drive:
Library > Quicktime > REDCODE.QT.component.
Select that file, and the Finder will show you a version number.
