Missing Files, Please Help!

So I have to send my project to my editor in a different state, so I purchased a external hard drive to put the files on, but only some of them went through.
I was tranfering in FCPX and was transfering from one external hard drive to another. It is only a few select clips that dont work for some reason. They work on my computer but then when I try a different computer, some of the files are missing. I have tried copying files, moving the render files, just about everything... Please help as I need to get this out as soon as possible!
To fix this problem before the update, all I had to do was use the Organize Event function, now what do I use?

What version are you using? Select the library and duplicate it to the other drive. Use the Consolidate library function to make sure all the files are copied into the library and are not external.

I'm assuming when you talk about the update you're talking about going from 10.0.x to 10.1.x.

You are correct, 10.1.x from 10.0.x.
Does updating files and projects work to or no?

Yes you can update projects and events. They get converted to a library based on the volume you're updating.
