Right now this is available for free from the apple app store so I downloaded it to see if it is of any use. Anybody else out there using it? My guess is that it hasn't been upgraded to work with FCPX 10.1.1 as some controls seem to work and others don't. For free I'm not bothered if I delete it, but I wondered what others opinion is of it. Saves a few key strokes for some commands.

Sorry to say but this app has never worked correctly, even with earlier versions of FCP X. Guess that's why they offer it for free now ;)

As of a few days ago it was still $25 and most of the reviews were four and five stars. Given PFS's shady ripoff history I'd bet money that they engineered those positive reviews themselves. That app is a POS and they lied about updating it and probably about being "in talks" with Apple about getting low-level hooks into FCPX to turn it into something better than a glorified key command sender. PFS is a ripoff organization.

There were a bunch of one and two star reviews for it, so I thought it might be a bit of a gamble, but at least the price was right ( B) ). Surprisingly it did set up very easily, but as others said on the app store it is very 'laggy' and really doesn't do anything you can't do on the keyboard (and the keyboard is more intuitive anyway as I can use shortcuts without thinking about them).

Good to try it for free, but would I pay the 99 cents it is advertised for on their website and the even more ludicrous original $30.99 that they show it was before it they discounted it by $30? Not a chance.
