Zynaptic Unveil problem

Hi all,

I have the mighty useful but v. expensive Unveil plugin from Zynaptic. It performs the hitherto impossible task of reducing audio reverb.

Installing on my new Mac Pro (clean install not using Migration Assistant) - FCPX 10.1.1 - I now get this on starting FCPX:

"Incompatible Audio Units Found

While verifying Audio Unit compatibility, Final Cut Pro encountered 2 Audio Unit(s) which did not pass the Apple AU validation. These plug-ins have been excluded from further usage in Final Cut Pro to prevent possible problems or crashes.

Zynaptiq: UNVEIL 8ch
Zynaptiq: UNVEIL"

I've raised a support ticket with Zynaptiq but the question is - why was this problem not present on my previous Mac Pro? Versions of OS both 10.9.2 (build 13C64). Same version of FCPX - although it was installed when running a previous version so perhaps this test is only run for new plugins?

Any ideas?

Best wishes,

Ian.

Had a reply from Zynaptiq. There is a new version of Unveil in the wings that fixes this. It's to do with changes Apple made in 10.1.1 which, when it encounters the copy protection on the plug-in, declares it illegal.

If anyone else is having this problem and needs a solution urgently there is a release candidate which Zynaptiq can supply a link to.

They were very quick to reply. Full marks for customer service.
