Before I send feedback to Apple, is there a way to toggle correction to original state within the color board with out having to click the "back" arrow button and then turning off correction in the effects inspector?

Yes. Create a new keyboard short cut for it. I like control-G which is the old Apple Color shortcut for doing the same thing (i.e. toggle the "grade" on and off.)

Oh I miss curves from Apple Color

But does that shortcut work when you are actually in the slider/adjustment section of the color board? If it does, I'll be making that short cut.
