It just looks flat but the adjustment persists, I think.

The adjustments are still there but the interface does not reflect them anymore. It's a very annoying known bug, submit a bug report to Apple.

Seems like the setting is still there... until I open the EQ again, then it resets... and you have to start over. Good to know it's a known bug and not just me. Hope they fix it in the next update though!

Only the EQ user interface resets, the actual setting you made is retained. So if you continually make adjustments to the EQ, they will be made in addition to previous adjustments ( even though you can't see the prior ones).

I tried it out with some really extreme settings and it clearly resets as soon as I open the EQ window again...

Replied by anickt on topic EQ not retaining settings...
It definitely re-sets for me. I use the Fat EQ Logic plug-in instead. And I reported to Apple. B)

Well this is indeed a buggy issue. While the UI has never really retained it's graphical representations, previous versions did hold actual levels, although not shown. Now upon further testing I find some clips retain the levels momentarily until played for a couple seconds at which point it is visually obvious by the audio level indicators on the clip that these levels reset upon re-opening the EQ interface. Other times, the reset is instant. Different machines may experience different reactions to this, but nevertheless, this is an irritating bug.
