Can any of the menu options in FCPX be given a keyboard shortcut if the menu item does not currently exist in the command editor? For example, can a command and a keyboard shortcut be created to select the luma waveform to be displayed in the viewer window?

Thank you.

There already is a shortcut for the waveform monitor: Control-Command-W. All the color board and scope shortcuts use Control-Command and a letter.

Yes, I use it but wondered if the submenu options in the waveform monitor, like luma, could be accessed directly by keyboard shortcuts or perhaps I've missed something in using the scope shortcuts.

Thanks for the reply.

Luma is the default the first time you use it in the session. Subsequently the shortcut opens the last used. The submenus are not available in the command editor.

Perhaps I can clarify the question. Can separate shortcuts be made for waveform submenu items -- different keyboard shortcuts for RGB, Luma, etc?

OK, I understand. That's what I noticed in using the command editor and I was looking for a way to extend the color editing keyboard shortcuts.

Thanks again.
