Hi
A friend has asked me to help him rescue a project he did in windows movie maker! (never used it myself being mac based)
Can anyone tell me what the best output format is in WMM to edit in FCPX
Thanks

First, consider taking the original footage and starting over.
If not, export it as WMV file format, get Filp4Mac to edit natively in FCPX, or use something to convert it to ProRes 422.

Client didn't want to hand footage over due to time restraints.
Wish I had of known this a few days ago, the client handed me the format in mp4, could only see the footage for first 15secs and rest was blank (even though data was there).. Think I used handbrake to reformat it so I could see all the footage, bizarre situation and cost me a couple of hours figuring it out (by the way it re-formatted from 16:9 to 4:3 which did not help my cause
