Hi,
I like to combine two videos. a shot background and a table with drinks on it.
Is it possible to cut out a table in video like you do in photoshop with the pen tool? make a mask
and put a feather on it. like i did with the picture(table is a still png.)

Not with the standard tools in FCP X you will need a 3rd party plugin such as Slice X.
If the shot is static you could always cut a mask in Photoshop but if there's movement then Slice X with Moca really is the go.
