double-click for detach audio has stopped working

i work on fcpx.
lately i can not detach audio by double-click the wave form.
does anyone know how can i fix this?

You mean expand the audio? Did you try trashing your preferences? Can you post a screen shot of the area with the problem?

well - there is no specific area: until recently, i could double click a clip on the storyline and it detached the audio from the video.
double clicking again would bring them back together.
now double click does nothing!

Can you post a screen shot of a portion of the timeline?

You're in waveform only view. There is no video visible to expand it from. If you change the timeline view options to one that shows the video it should again as you expect.
