Nudging Text Elements? was created by augustheat
Greetings:
In FCP7, I could nudge/adjust items in the canvas by using the arrows and <ALT> key. Can't seem to figure out how to do this in FCPX. Let's say I want to move the bottom text of a lower third; I can highlight it and adjust it with the baseline slider, but I would like to use a shortcut/arrow click option for more precise adjustments like I could in FCP7. Any suggestions?

Click once on the value indicator to the right of the baseline slider and use your up and down arrow keys. I wish there was a way to choose the text in the viewer and nudge it but I haven't found a way that doesn't involve either using baseline or using the transform tool inspector.

Hold down the SHIFT key while doing the above ^^^ moves the text in 10px increments. You can TAB between Position X to Position Y in the panel.
