Still image imported but has 60fps frame rate on a 25i timeline

All my imported JPEGs 1920x1080 are dropped onto a 1920x1080 25i timeline. However all the stills show in the info window as 60fps. Stills don't have a frame rate so is this readout a bug? Do I need to change it? Does it impact on quality and performance? Where is the preference to state the still import parameters?

Thanks in anticipation.

X sets up a project by using the first clip as a reference, unless you do a custom project setting.

Any chance that your first clip happened to have a 60fps parameter?

I think if they are stills it probably shouldn't matter. Other than that I got nothin' but someone here will be able to help if I'm way off.

The timeline is 25I. All images imported have 60fps in the info window, whether direct imports or drag and drops, or via iPhoto.

Other Events have the same issue 60fps. I am in PAL land so would never have 60fps. So that leads me to think this is a preference/default somewhere rather than a bug. other people on the web have reported this issue but not always 60fps.

That is just a default value given to stills. A photo is only 1 frame, which is totally useless in video work, and would get lost easily. In Prefs you set a default duration for stills, so FCPX has a "video" way to deal with them. This means they need some default fps setting, also. Just defaults, means nothing.
