10.9.2 losing Spotlight indexing data?

I'm using Smart Folders and the new Final Cut Libraries Manager app, and I have a Pegasus P2 RAID connected. The P2 goes to sleep over night, while not in use for a long time. On older Macs with spinning platter drives, this can happen also.

When I get to my desk first thing in the morning, I can wake the P2 by accessing it via a Finder window, or by launching an spp such as FPCX that accesses data on it.

BUT, before and after that wake-up, my smart folders and the FCLM app both can't see the FCPX libraries on that P2 volume. In testing, I'm finding that OS X 10.9.2 looses all Spotlight indexing data for a volume when it goes to sleep.

If I have Libraries open from the P2 at night, quit FCPX, the next morning, FCPX launches, and none of those Libraries will be open any longer.

Anyone else finding this? It greatly interferes with the FCPX Library system if you're doing any management of them outside of FCPX.

I have similar problem, Spolight will not index at all, I have tried Terminal with this sudo mdutil -E / which is supposed to reindex everything on all disks internal and external. It does not work for me.

I'm having 100% success with the instructions in that Apple KB article. But, I have to repeat this every time the P2 drives go to sleep. Royal PITA.
