Linked Media

Is there a way to take media that was imported as "leave files in place" and bring them into your library as actual files? I can move reference files around using consolidate event/project media, but I want to contain everything within one library removing the reference files...any ideas?

The Consolidate function does just that. It will consolidate external media into FCPX where it becomes Managed Media, or Vice Versa... it can be used to consolidate external into managed within FCPX or consolidate FCPX managed media out to an external drive.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the quick responses. I'm still experiencing situations where I'll hit consolidate project media and it says all the media is already consolidated, even though it's referencing external media...If it's supposed to take my reference media and contain it within the library maybe I'm experiencing a bug?

May sound obvious, but can you make sure when you are consolidating, that you do select the "library" from the choice popup, and not an external location?
