importing XMLs creates multiple empty events, why & do I need to keep them?

When I import an XML it creates events associated with the project, then when I import more xmls into the same project I get multiple events with nothing in them. Do I need to keep these events? They are numbered sequentially

event name
event name - 2
event name - 3
event name - 4

etc.

Confused? I am! Thanks in advance for the help.

It'll create events associated with the project if it doesn't find corresponding events in the library that match. If the dupe events truly are empty, then there's no harm in deleting them. If they aren't empty, try moving those clips out to the original event or even merge the events (I would make sure you have a library backup before merging events, though). As to why it's making those dupe events, perhaps the project XMLs you're trying to import use additional clips that aren't currently in your original event. However, this wouldn't explain why those dupe events are empty.
