Hi.

I have just done a complete manual migration/OS upgrade from 10.6.8 to 10.8.5. Most of my work is actually music creation, and the music software world is not ready for Mavericks yet, so 10.8.5 is as far as I can go for the moment.

I have FCP 7.0.3 and was using that on 10.6.8. The general vibe I see is that FCP7.0.3 will work on 10.8.5.

But I was wondering----can I buy FCP10.1.1 from the App Store and have it work on 10.8.5? The App Store says the requirements for FCP10.1.1 are Mavericks, but I'm wondering whether Apple just recommends 10.9, but it still works fine with 10.8.5, or if it won't even install or work at all?
