Motion Title and Matte question

Hi,
If anyone has got the time, can you check this motion title.
For some reason the mask will not keep correct position.

Open the project and select ‘Group Box’
Then select ‘Rectangle fill Target’

Now in the inspector > Properties
Go to Four Corners.
Select Bottom Left Y perimeter and move 0 px up to around 450 or so
You will see as the box resizes, that the text now goes outside the box, by a pretty big amount.

However, if you now select ‘Text’
Then select ‘rectangle mask’
you will see that the bottom left four corner Y px count is the same as the
original four corners px count that it is linked to.

The mask is not resizing correctly as the box gets resized, causing the text to go outside the box.

You may get a message that you don’t have Emboss text filter, if so just continue on or delete the effect, won’t matter..

Thanks
Kurt

I had a brief moment to take a look at this.

Is it possible (probable) that this has something to do with the fact that you are not linking to the actual geometry of the shape but instead to the four corner parameter which is a distortion effect.

That is also why the blue stroke around the white shape gets thinner as the white box gets vertically narrower.

Hi Doug,
thanks for taking a look..
I am unable to create any behavior (link) to the geometry.
The only other place i see where to make one (for what i am trying to create),
is a link to the Properties> position and scale.

But in order to have the bottom (for example) of the box move up (make it smaller)
The Y in both the size and position need to change at the same time..
So far i haven't figured out how to do this..

thanks again
Kurt
