strange proxy question

When I am editing, I use a dedicated drive for my footage. when I "import" the footage into final cut, I leave the footage in place. Since the footage is already ProRes 422 I don't bother with optimizing.
In previous versions of FCP X if I choose to create proxy files, those files were put on the main drive anyway. With the 10.1 If I choose to create proxy files, will those files be created on my dedicated media drive?
My goal is to not have to edit files on my system drive.

Proxies are in the library. Put the library on the media drive.

Actually, in all versions of FCPX, proxies and optimized files were always stored inside of the specific Event, what ever drive it was on. Same holds true today, except as Tom says, Events are now inside of a Library package.

Cool, This turned out to be easier than planed.
If I understand correctly all I have to do is make sure the library is on the correct drive then proceed as normal.
Thanks
