Hi everyone.
I'm stuck on 10.8 and the slightly older FCPX version. A friend has given me a harddrive with projects from fcpx 10.1 and I get a warning telling me i cant open them (see screenshot below). Any way to get around this (apart from upgrading)?
I would be very grateul for any useful pointers ....
kind regards,
Simon

FCPX Libraries, Events, Projects are not backwards compatible. You could try XML, but that may be a pot shot.

As far as I know, all Macs that can run 10.8 can also run 10.9. And Mavericks is free, so I would suggest upgrading...

Mavericks is the most stable version of OS X I have ever upgraded to. As long as you make a clone of your boot drive ala carbon copy cloner you should be just fine updating.
