Please help! FCPX event footage disappeared.

I have been working in fcpx on a sample for a grant due tomorrow and I closed FCPX and when I reopened it ALL OF THE FOOTAGE IN ONE OF THE EVENTS I WAS WORKING IN IS MISSING and delinked from my timeline. I am working with a very large amount of footage.

From the photos you can see that the purple star is no longer next to the event called Kosovo and there is nothing in the event.

In the second photo you can see in the finder that all the content is still in the Event Library on the computer.

How do I get this back. If I lost this I have lost a ton of work I have done.

Right now, in the absence of any better ideas, I am dropping the Kosovo folder in the finder "package contents" into one of the other events. It is saying it is validating as I write this.

the above didn't work, looks like the only option is to re-import 2TB of footage. reconnect it and lose the hours of organization I did in the Kosovo event as it lays there dead with an inability to import to it. no sleep tonight. Thanks fcpx!
